Could You Be the One?

ARCO, A Community Resource offers a variety of professional employment opportunities. Our team includes Directors, Managers, and Clerical Support staff. Occasionally, we have openings in these departments.

Could you be the one? As we grow, positions for Direct Support Work (DSWs) and Field Support become available. These positions offer various schedules, including full-time, part-time, weekends, and weekdays. While the Field Support role involves the same skillsets as the DSP position, it also requires working with multiple participants and greater flexibility with your availability to work.

DIRECT SUPPORT WORKER

Imagine waking up each day knowing that your work will make a difference in someone’s life. Working with adults with developmental disabilities is not just a job; it’s a chance to be a part of something meaningful. You’ll help individuals uncover their strengths, face challenges, and celebrate their victories big and small. Each day offers a new opportunity to connect, support, and encourage them on their unique journeys.

Sure, it won’t always be easy. But think about the moments when you see someone achieve a goal they thought was out of reach or when you see them laughing with friends at an event in the community. Those moments are rewarding and remind you why you chose this path. You’ll be there to guide them through life’s ups and downs, and in the process, you’ll find growth, too.

Do you need experience? No, ARCO provides 16 hours of upfront training to help you learn the basics and then you will receive participant-specific training to learn details about the important service you will be providing. You’re not alone in the process; skilled Team Managers and a Staff Development Manager help you navigate your new profession.
